On toktixPRO and toktixMAX, your texts come from your own local number — one your fans can save, reply to, and recognize, instead of a shared one. You pick it once and it's yours for as long as you're subscribed.
Pick your number
- After upgrading, open the Messages tab — the hub shows Pick your number.
- Enter the area code you want (say, your city's). TokTix searches live inventory.
- If your first choice has nothing available right now, you'll see nearby options instead — area codes run out sometimes; a neighboring code is just as local to your fans.
- Tap a number you like, then Continue → Set up this number.
Setup usually completes right away. If it takes longer, the hub shows your number as setting up and finishes in the background — you don't need to keep the screen open, and blasts simply wait until it's ready.
The "Save my contact" card
The first blast from your new number automatically includes a link that opens your contact card — your name and number, ready to save. Fans who save it see your name (not a mystery number) on every text after that, which is the single biggest thing you can do for reply rates.
Good to know
- Your number sends both blasts and your inbox replies — one number, both directions. See Replies and your inbox.
- Texting is regulated, and TokTix registers your number properly behind the scenes — nothing for you to do, it's part of setup.
- If you cancel your plan, the number is released after a grace period rather than immediately, so a quick lapse doesn't cost you the number fans saved.
