What is TokTix?
TokTix is a ticketing app for independent event promoters. Create your event, sell tickets, text your guest list, scan those tickets, and get paid, done completely from your iPhone or Android phone. It's built for people who run their own events: recurring parties, club nights, day parties, small fests, and private ticketed gatherings.
How much does TokTix cost?
TokTix charges 5% + $0.50 per paid ticket. That fee is added at checkout and paid by the buyer, on top of your ticket price rather than taken out of it. Standard Stripe card processing applies as usual.
There are no monthly fees to sell tickets, and free events are always free to host. Your ticket revenue goes directly to your own Stripe account. TokTix never holds your funds.
How does text marketing work on TokTix?
Guests can opt in to your text list when they buy a ticket, so your list builds itself while you sell. When your next date drops, send a blast from the Messages hub. Links are tracked automatically, so every text shows taps, tickets sold, and revenue.
Text marketing runs on credits (one credit sends one text). The free Starter tier includes 500 credits a month and blasts up to 500 guests. toktixPRO ($49/mo or $490/yr) adds your own local number, 5,000 credits a month, blasts up to 2,500 guests, and a two-way inbox. toktixMAX ($99/mo or $990/yr) includes 10,000 credits a month and priority blasts up to 20,000 guests. You can buy more credits anytime and they never expire, and replies from your guests never cost credits.
Is texting my guests legal and spam-safe?
TokTix is consent-first: you can only text people who opted in, STOP is honored instantly, and quiet hours are enforced automatically. Compliance is built into the sending flow, so you don't need to manage carrier registration or opt-out lists yourself.
How fast can I create an event?
Minutes. Snap a photo of your flyer and TokTix pulls the details (name, date, venue) into a draft event automatically. Add your ticket tiers, publish, and share your link.
Do my guests need the app to buy tickets?
No. Guests buy on a web checkout from any link you share, and tickets go straight to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Only you need the app.
How do payouts work?
All payments run through Stripe. Sales land in your connected Stripe account and pay out automatically on your Stripe schedule (daily or weekly). TokTix does not store customer card details.
Can my team help run my events?
Yes. Invite partners by phone number and they get permission-gated access to your event: guest list, live sales, check-in, and refunds if you allow it. All without sharing your account.
Can I sell tickets from my own website?
Yes. Every event gets a hosted web page you can link anywhere, and TokTix embeds into existing sites, including WordPress, so guests check out without leaving your site.
Is TokTix on Android?
Yes. TokTix is on both the App Store and Google Play. Guests can buy tickets from any phone either way, iPhone or Android.
