A Promoter sells your event for a cut. You set the commission, TokTix gives them a personal link, and every sale through that link is tracked to them automatically — no codes to type, nothing for the buyer to remember.
Invite a promoter
- Open your event's Guest List → Team tab.
- Tap Invite, enter their phone number, and choose Promoter.
- Set the commission — a flat amount per ticket (say, $2) or a percentage of the ticket price.
- Decide whether free ($0) tickets count: a toggle controls whether tickets your promoter moves for free also earn their commission (off unless you turn it on).
- Send it. They accept from the text and get their personal share link.
How attribution works
Sales are credited by link — when someone buys through a promoter's link, that sale (and its commission) shows on the promoter's row. Commission is calculated on what the buyer actually paid, so discounts and promo codes are handled fairly on both sides.
Tracking and paying out
- The Team tab shows each promoter's sales and what they've earned, live.
- Promoters see their own numbers when they open the event — their sales, their earnings, nothing else of yours.
- When you settle up, tap Pay out on their row to mark it Paid. You pay your promoter directly, however you two already handle money — TokTix keeps the running tally so there's never an argument about the number.
- Refunded tickets automatically come back off the promoter's tally.
What a promoter can't do
A Promoter role is sales-only: no event edits, no refunds, no buyer contact details, no analytics beyond their own performance. For helpers who need more access, use a Partner or Scanner role instead.
